One of the reasons why
AudioEvangelism.com exists is to encourage souls to study God's word
daily. Assembling with one's fellow Christians is vitally important, but the majority of one's spiritual development must take place outside the walls of a church building if an individual is to achieve his or her greatest potential. Christianity is designed by God to be a
daily religion. Significant spiritual growth results when one's spirit feeds on the word of God
daily over a period of months and years. It is our hope that your understanding of God's word is aided by the study helps that are presented on this website
daily.
As you may have already realized, our focus at this time is upon the word "daily." Consider these important points from the Scriptures:
- Psalm 72:15 - "And daily He shall be praised." It was true for the children of Abraham then as it still is today, we need to remember and praise God daily!
- Jesus gave us a marvelous example to follow in Matthew 6:11 - "Give us this day our daily bread." We need to pray to God daily!
- Luke 9:23 - "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me." We need to be dedicated to humbling ourselves and following the Lord daily!
- Hebrews 3:13 - "But exhort one another daily, while it is called 'Today,' lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin." We need to encourage fellow Christians daily to stay faithful to God and to His church!
- James 2:15,16 - "If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, 'Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,' but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?" We need to be involved in daily benevolence, where there is a need!
- Jesus stated in Mark 14:49 - "I was daily with you in the temple teaching..." Jesus established a wonderful pattern of daily evangelism!
- The early church followed His example, as Acts 5:42 records - "And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ." These Christians believed in both public and private teaching of the gospel, and they engaged in such daily!
- Their emphasis upon evangelism brought great results, according to Acts 16:5 - "So the churches were strengthened in the faith, and increased in number daily." We need to be involved in daily evangelism if we expect the church to grow today!
- Paul declared in I Corinthians 15:31 - "...I die daily." We need to serve Christ daily even when the cost to ourselves is great!
- Acts 17:11 - "These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so." If we are open-minded, we too will search the Scriptures daily to learn the truth and investigate everything we are taught (including everything that is taught on this website).
- Psalm 68:19 - "Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation!" If we practice our Christianity daily, God will bless us richly! Do you believe this, friends? If so, then live today--and everyday--for the Lord!
