Praying the Psalms – Psalm 15

Psalm 15

A Psalm of David.

1Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle?
Who may dwell in Your holy hill?
2 He who walks uprightly,
And works righteousness,
And speaks the truth in his heart;
3 He who does not backbite with his tongue,
Nor does evil to his neighbor,
Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend;
4 In whose eyes a vile person is despised,
But he honors those who fear the Lord;
He who swears to his own hurt and does not change;
5 He who does not put out his money at usury,
Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things shall never be moved.

MY PRAYER

Father, help me to be strong,
And to always pursue Your standard of righteousness.
I desire to dwell with You in holiness.
I yearn to be with You forever!

Assist me as I endeavor to walk in Your light.
May my heart be pure and full of zeal for You,
May my tongue speak truth compassionately,
And may my hands show kindness to all, especially to others of Your household.

I despise the wicked but honor those who genuinely fear You, O Lord.
I am committed to honoring my word, no matter what the cost.
Keep me grounded firmly in Your ways.
Amen.
